Proposed Legislation and Public Policy

Laws are enacted to reflect societal values, but laws addressing how animals are treated on farms are inconsistent with popular concerns. Farmed animals are excluded from most federal and state anti-cruelty laws, so animals used for food production are legally subjected to intolerable suffering. Farm Sanctuary campaigns target unconscionable animal cruelty by changing policies, laws, and corporate practices that are not inline with popular sentiments. Please take a moment to review the current legislation that is under discussion, and then take action.
